Kick Brickz® Receives Official U.S. Patent Allowance for Decorative Shoe Kit

April 20, 2026 — Glendale, Arizona

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Glendale, AZ — April 20, 2026 — Kick Brickz® today announced that co-inventors James "Jimmy" Greene and Colby Charles Greene have received an official Notice of Allowance from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (U.S.P.T.O.) for their utility patent application covering the Kick Brickz® Shoe Decoration Kit. The notice, delivered via Kaufhold & Dix Patent Law (Docket No. PATP1154.01), confirms that the patent will be issued upon payment of the required Issue Fee and represents one of the most significant milestones in the company's history.

The Notice of Allowance confirms that claims 1 through 3, 5 through 11, and 13 through 18 have been allowed — protecting the core innovations behind the Kick Brickz® multi-functional shoe kit. The kit's ability to transform into five distinct configurations — a toy car, toy plane, cell phone stand, ornament, and fidget spinner — is now formally recognized by the U.S. government as a novel and patentable invention.

The moment was captured live on the Kick Brickz® podcast, where Jimmy and Colby sat down together and opened the letter from their attorneys at Kaufhold & Dix on camera, sharing the milestone with the world in real time. After filming wrapped, the father-son duo headed out to celebrate the right way — over pizza.

"We are absolutely thrilled with their decision. We will continue to innovate and secure strategic licensing to grow our market share and get our product in the hands of every kid and adult. We want people to use their imaginations — to build, to create, and to put the phone down and quit scrolling."
— James "Jimmy" Greene, Co-Founder & Co-Inventor, Kick Brickz®

The allowance marks the culmination of years of work by the father-son team, who first conceived the idea of a buildable, sports-themed shoe kit that doubles as a creative toy. From their garage workshop in Glendale, Arizona — lit by the now-iconic Kick Brickz® neon sign — the Greenes have bootstrapped, hustled, and innovated their way to a U.S. patent.

Legal representation was provided by Kaufhold & Dix, An Intellectual Property Law Firm.

With this patent allowance in hand, Kick Brickz® is now positioned to aggressively pursue licensing agreements with major sports leagues and retail partnerships, with the mission of placing a Kick Brickz® kit in front of every fan who has ever wanted to build something with their hands and wear it with pride.
